The Guam International Film Festival, presented by DFS Galleria, started the festival with the U.S. premiere of “Mga Dayo (Resident Aliens)” by director Julius Sotomayor Cena as it played to a sold out crowd on Friday night.
The GIFF launch party, sponsored by Tequila XO Cafe, Peroni Italy and Zen Ultra Lounge, kicked off the events overlooking the skyline of Tumon, where Guam’s local talent enjoyed a night of mingling with international filmmakers.
HAGATNA, GUAM – The 2012 Guam International Film Festival held its press conference today featuring international delegates whose films will be showcased this weekend. The festival is presented by DFS Galleria and is sponsored by Cars Plus, United Airlines, Patron Tequila, Peroni Italy, Docomo Pacific, Guam Visitors Bureau and Pacific Islanders in Communications.
An indie gem! This movie’s ‘slice-of-life’ screenplay is paired with a realistic cast and is all tied together beautifully by the skills of director Brandon Harris. One to watch if you’re on the lookout for a definitive film festival flick.
